Greystone Guesthouse, a family-run business in the Peterborough area, needed a website that would bring their vision to life and help guests discover and book their accommodation. We designed and built a warm, welcoming site that reflects the character of the guesthouse, backed by maintenance support and tailored training.

The starting point
and the problem.
Greystone Guesthouse is a family-run business, born out of the owners' decision to turn their home at Greystone Cottage into a guesthouse. With over 20 years of hospitality experience behind them, they knew how to look after guests. What they needed was a website that would let potential visitors discover them and get a genuine sense of what a stay would feel like.
The challenge was translating the warmth and personality of a family-run hospitality business into a digital experience. Generic or corporate-feeling design wouldn't work here. The site needed to feel personal and inviting while still being functional and easy to navigate for someone browsing accommodation options in the area.
How we made
it happen.
We started by getting under the skin of what makes Greystone Guesthouse distinctive. The design process was built around capturing the character of the guesthouse rather than following a template. Every visual and layout decision was made with the guest experience in mind, giving visitors a clear picture of what to expect before they book.
The site was built to be intuitive to navigate, allowing potential guests to easily find rooms, check what's included, and get in touch. Performance was a priority throughout, ensuring the experience is smooth on both mobile and desktop.
Following the launch, the owners signed up for our maintenance package so they could focus on running the guesthouse without worrying about the technical side. We also provided personalised training sessions, giving them the confidence to update the site themselves, add new information, and manage enquiries independently.
