Morph Retouching is a specialist photographic retouching studio based in London, working with advertising, editorial and commercial clients. We migrated their site from Wix to a fully custom build with a portfolio CMS, bespoke animations, and a hands-on training session to ensure the team could manage everything independently.

The starting point
and the problem.
Morph Retouching works at the highest end of the photographic retouching industry, handling work for advertising campaigns, editorial publications, and commercial clients. The standard of their output is exceptionally high, but their website was not doing justice to it. Built on Wix, the existing site had a basic layout with no clear visual hierarchy, and the portfolio was presented as an overwhelming collage of images with no structure or context.
Visitors could not easily distinguish between different types of work, such as editorial versus advertising retouching, or understand the full scope of what the studio offered. The overall impression was inconsistent with the quality of the clients and projects the studio actually works with. For a retouching business, where the quality of the visual presentation is everything, this mismatch was a significant problem.
They needed a custom-built platform that would showcase their portfolio properly, allow them to manage and update their work themselves, and present the studio in a way that matched the premium nature of what they do.
How we made
it happen.
We redesigned the site with a premium, minimalist aesthetic that reflects the quality and precision of Morph Retouching's work. The new design gives the portfolio proper structure, with clear categories for different types of work, including advertising, editorial, and client projects. Each category gets space to breathe, with elegant typography and considered layouts that mirror the care that goes into the retouching work itself.
The site was built as a fully custom, responsive platform, giving us control over every detail of the design and behaviour. Bespoke animations were developed to enhance the browsing experience and draw attention to key sections of the site, adding a dynamic quality that distinguishes the studio from more generic competitors.
A CMS was integrated to give the Morph Retouching team control over their portfolio. They can add, update, and manage their projects at any time, keeping the site current as new work comes in. After the site launched, we provided a thorough training session covering content updates, CMS management, and understanding the site's analytics. The session gave the team full confidence to run the site independently.
