A complete redesign and Webflow build for leadership development specialist Katy Walton, transforming an outdated WordPress site into a bold, personality-driven brand experience.

The starting point
and the problem.
Katy Walton runs Make Real Progress, a leadership development brand built on high-energy coaching, facilitation, and speaking. Her reputation was growing, but her website told a different story. The existing WordPress site felt generic, cluttered, and completely disconnected from the bold, confident brand she had built offline.
The problems ran deeper than just aesthetics. The site had no visual hierarchy to guide visitors through her three core services: training for companies, training for individuals, and coaching. Content like blog posts, testimonials, and case studies was difficult to update, which meant the site was constantly falling behind Katy’s actual work. There was no movement, no energy, and no sense of the personality that makes her so effective in person.
Katy needed more than a refresh. She needed a website that matched her brand’s energy, made her services crystal clear, and gave her full control over her own content.
How we made
it happen.
We started with strategy, not pixels. Before any design work, we built a detailed wireframe that mapped out the full site structure, content flow, and user journey. This low-fidelity layout gave Katy a clear picture of how the site would work before we introduced any visual distraction. It meant we could agree on the structure early, avoid costly changes later, and build a solid foundation for the creative phase.
With the wireframe approved, we moved into full visual design in Figma. The goal was to capture the confidence and energy of Make Real Progress in every detail. We introduced strong typography, vibrant gradient flames representing her three service pillars, and strategic black-and-white imagery to keep the focus on key messaging. The layout was built to guide visitors naturally through Katy’s services while showcasing her credibility through testimonials, case studies, and video content.
We then built the site in Webflow with a focus on performance, responsiveness, and interactivity. Scroll-based animations, content reveals, and smooth transitions brought the design to life without slowing things down. A custom CMS gave Katy full control over blog posts, case studies, and testimonials, with smart filtering and tagging so content always appears where it is most relevant.

The new Make Real Progress website is a world apart from the old WordPress site. Every page captures Katy's energy through bold typography, vibrant gradient accents representing her three service pillars, and striking black-and-white photography that keeps the focus exactly where it needs to be.
Visitors now follow a clear path through Katy's services. The homepage builds credibility through testimonials, case studies, and video content. Each service page explains what Katy offers, who it is for, and how to get started. There is no guesswork for potential clients.
On the backend, the custom CMS means Katy can update everything herself. New blog posts, fresh testimonials, additional case studies: she publishes and manages all of it without waiting on anyone. Content stays current because publishing is effortless.
The site is fast, mobile-friendly, and built to be found. Between the SEO groundwork, the analytics integration, and the training session we ran with Katy, she has everything she needs to grow Make Real Progress online with confidence.
The team at Brilliant Digital have been phenomenal from start to finish.
