Nene School of Dancing offers adult ballroom, Latin and sequence dance classes across Peterborough, Stamford and Market Deeping. We built a warm, welcoming website from scratch that makes it easy for new dancers to discover classes, learn about the instructor, and take their first step with confidence.

The starting point
and the problem.
Before working with us, Nene School of Dancing had no website. Adults interested in ballroom, Latin or sequence dancing in the local area had no single place to go for information about class types, locations or schedules. Most enquiries came through word of mouth or social media, which made it difficult for potential new students to understand what was on offer or whether the classes were right for complete beginners.
Instructor Janina needed a site that reflected the friendly, encouraging atmosphere of her classes. Dancing can feel daunting for adults who have never tried it before, and the website had to lower that barrier, not raise it. The tone needed to be warm and reassuring, with clear information about what to expect, where classes take place, and how to register interest.
We began with a detailed wireframe to map out the key sections: class information, locations, instructor profile, gallery, and testimonials. This gave Janina a clear view of how visitors would move through the content and how each type of dance would be introduced, before we moved into the visual design.
How we made
it happen.
We designed the site with warmth, energy and clarity as the defining goals. The colours, typography and layout were chosen to reflect the fun and social nature of the classes, with vibrant gradients and cheerful imagery bringing life to each page. The navigation is simple and accessible throughout, so visitors can find what they need without any friction.
Photography plays a central role. Showing the joy and community that builds inside each lesson was important for communicating the spirit of the school to someone who has never been. We incorporated a gallery and expressive images throughout the site, alongside subtle movement and gentle interactions that add personality without complicating the experience.
To make ongoing updates easy for Janina, we built a CMS for both class listings and testimonials. She can now add new class dates, locations and reviews at any time, with the content appearing automatically in the right sections of the site. The site was built for smooth performance across all devices, with carefully crafted layouts and fluid animations that create a friendly, engaging experience from start to finish.

The CMS means Janina has full control over keeping the site current. Class dates, new locations and fresh testimonials can all be updated without needing technical help, which keeps the site useful for visitors returning to check schedules.
The site gives the school a platform to grow. Where previously potential students had to seek out information through social media or personal connections, they can now find everything they need in one place and take that first step towards joining a class.
